When I was on PD, I didn't want to wait around messing about with a heating pad, wasting time trying to get the temperatures correct.  I was young, impatient and was racing cars in England and travelling.

 I designed the Daytripper because I wanted a safer, simpler way to warm my dialysis solution, without heating pads, microwaves, or makeshift setups.

The Daytripper is a single-bag PD fluid warmer for manual CAPD exchanges. It holds one solution bag up to 3 liters. Leave it plugged in all the time, and your solution is gently warmed and ready whenever you need it. 

Why I designed the Daytripper

• Always ready. Leave it on 24/7 so a warm bag is there when it’s time for your exchange.
• Gentle, preset heating. A tamper-resistant thermostat is set at the factory to warm your solution without overheating it.
• Energy efficient. It uses less than 20 watts, about as much as a small light bulb.
• Easy to use. Put your bag in, wait for the green “Ready” light, and you’re set.
• Never forget to replace your next bag. Once you take one out of your Daytripper replace another immediately.  You don't want to have to wait for it to heat up needlessly.
• Travel friendly. The included 12-volt car adapter lets you warm solution on the road.

Who the Daytripper is for

People doing manual peritoneal dialysis (CAPD) exchanges at home who are tired of using heating pads for cold solutions and juggling temperatures. It’s made for manual exchanges, not for cycler (APD) setups.

How to use it

1. Plug in the Daytripper forever! (or use the 12-volt car adapter when traveling).
2. Place your solution bag inside. Inside it's protective wrapping.
3. Lower lid - no need to lock it.
4. Wait for the green “Ready” light.
5. Take warm bag out - replace cold bad in warmer immediate.  ( don't forget)

Please use the Daytripper only as directed, and follow your dialysis team’s instructions for your solution.
